STEVENSVILLE – Andrew Todd Norman, 32, passed away from his battle with cancer on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at his home in Stevensville and is now in the presence of his savior, Jesus Christ.

Andy was born June 25, 1979, in Missoula to Rick and Margaret Norman. He attended early elementary school in Billings until moving in 1991 to the Stevensville area where he attended Lone Rock School. He graduated from Stevensville High School in 1998. He enjoyed playing football for the Stevensville Yellow Jackets.

Andy has been employed at Figaro Pizza, Subway and for the past nine years at Wal-Mart in Missoula where he was a department manager at the time of his death.

An avid fisherman, he enjoyed taking family and friends to his favorite fishing holes. He loved the outdoors and sports, especially liked and followed NFL football. A favorite hobby was playing video games with friends.

Andy valued family and friends and was fiercely loyal. He was a good listener with a quiet and caring spirit and a quick, sarcastic sense of humor. He was a grateful person, not one to complain. He enjoyed uncle time with his niece and two nephews. Andy will be greatly missed, especially the wonderful hugs he gave.

Andy was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, John Andrew Balch and Ralph Norman, and the love of his life, Rachel Millhouse.

Survivors include his parents, Rick and Margaret Norman of Stevensville; his brother, Toby (Tara) Norman and their three children, Kensley, Connor and Caden of Slippery Rock, Pa.; his sister, Bethany (Pablo) Calderon of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two grandmothers, Edna Balch and Barbara Norman both of Atlantic, Iowa; his beloved aunts and uncles, Nancy, Linda, Randy, Mike (Jocey) Balch, Roxie Stuit, Jo (Jack) Wagner, Kay (Dan) McCarthy, Dan (Betty) Norman and many cousins, all residing in the Midwest.

A memorial service to celebrate Andy’s life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Lone Rock Bible Church, 1142 Three Mile Creek Road in Stevensville. You may contact Whitesitt Funeral Home if directions are needed.

Flowers can be sent to the Whitesitt Funeral Home or memorial donations in Andy’s name may be sent to one of the following charities; Camp Mak-A-Dream, through Children’s Oncology Camp Foundation, P.O. #11 Dana Millhouse 2011-12-06 23:36 So, in my now-professional opinion, I would hope for Andy's family's sakes that people don't start avoiding them just because they don't know what to say. Every time you see Andy's family, walk straight up to them (rather than ducking down another aisle), give them a hug, ask them how they're doing, and even if they want to scream in their heads, "How do you THINK I'm doing? My CHILD died!" they will smile… and maybe cry… and if they cry, just grab hold of them and hug them tight… and don't say ANYthing. But DO NOT AVOID them and their pain. If you have nothing to say, hugs are good. Quote

#12 Pam Hardy 2011-12-07 18:40 To Andy's family,
I have known Andy for such a short time but came to love him sooo much. I miss him a lot already but am happy that is is in the arms of Jesus and in no more pain. I pray for the Lord to give you strength and peace during this time.
Andy: Your Face!

#13 S. Ford 2011-12-10 07:03 I am so very sorry for your loss. Please know that God will comfort and sustain you. Psalms 34:18 says that He is near to those broken at heart and saves those crushed in spirit. He truly knows the pain you feel. He assures us at John 5:28 that a time will soon come when we will welcome back to our arms those we have lost. Know that time is very near. Allow God to comfort your soul until that day arrives. Please keep His promises close to your heart. I offer my deepest sympathies to your entire family. Quote
