Florence - Our dear, sweet mother, Frankie Pearson, 87, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015. Although her children weren’t ready for her to leave, she was ready to go home. She was the best mother a person could ever have. Frankie was born on February 4, 1928 to Frank and Ivy Nelson in Polson, MT. She was very proud to be named after her daddy that she loved and admired so much. As a child, she loved her summers spent at the Cluzen family ranch in Lonepine, MT. She loved her Swedish grandpa that would team up and harness the horses. She met and married Clyde Pearson on New Year’s Eve 1946. Their mutual love for horses brought them together at the Riding Academy in Missoula. Frankie and Clyde had five children that she loved dearly. They had four sons, Ronald, Kenneth, Robin and Tim Pearson and one daughter, Shelley Gillespie. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law, Julie, husband, Clyde, sons, Ronald and Kenneth and her only sister, Mavis Dowland. Survivors include her daughter, Shelley of Missoula, sons, Robin of Florence and Tim of Hamilton, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Frankie was a hard worker, loved animals, from her horse “Tonka” to the wild deer that would come in her yard and the outdoors. She loved flowers and looking out her windows at the mountains and the deer. Frankie was an excellent cook and made great pies. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Whitesitt Funeral Home. A service to celebrate her life will begin at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow the service at Maplewood Cemetery in Stevensville.

I am so sorry for your loss. She was one heck of a wonderful aunt . Maybe she's riding Tonka again.
