STEVENSVILLE – Lewis “Bud” Lenney, Jr.  was born August 31, 1935 and passed away on March 20, 2016 at the age of 80.  He left us too soon.

Bud is survived by his wife, Amy Lenney, of 42 ½ years; his son, Lewis “Buddy” Lenney III and wife Kim; daughter, Donna Lenney; 21 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and every person blessed enough to have been able to call him a friend.  Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis, Sr. and Evelyn Lenney; his younger brother, Eddy; 3 sisters, Anne, Evelyn and Ethel; and his 2 sons, Michael Anthony and Ronald Edward with whom he is now reunited.

Bud served 6 years in the New York Army National Guard and was a lifelong Teamster with Teamsters Local Union #560.  He met his beautiful and loving wife, Amy, nearly a half century ago and they sealed their lifelong union on July 7, 1973.  Bud and Amy grew old together as they had always dreamed they would.  One could not reference Amy without naming Bud, or tell a story about Bud which did not include fond recollection of Amy.

Bud was a Patriot, a father, a brother, a mentor and a friend.  He endeavored to share his wisdom and his laughter with everybody and he lives on in their hearts and their memories.  Bud was always empathetic, always compassionate and brought a strength of personality that few others could hope to rival.

With Bud’s passing, the world seems a little less bright.  And while he is no longer with us, his spirit will forever be our companion.  He is loved and he is missed.  It was a dark and stormy night…  There was a knock at the door…

Amy & Family:
We were so sad to hear about Bud's passing. But it is such a comfort to know that he is with the Lord. What a blessing for those of us that are left here. We will all be re-united one day and what a day of rejoicing that will be. In the meantime, Amy, please let us know if we can help in any way. We thought so much of you both. Bill is still laughing about Bud's RGP ring that Bud would laugh and tell them about at the Men's Prayer Group, how he got ripped off! We will all miss him. Because HE lives, Bill & Frances

I am so very sorry for you and your family and friends in Bud's passing. I had the pleasure working with Bud at Stevensville Public Schools and consider Bud as one of my friends. He brought a smile everyday to all of us. He brought so much joy to me when I had the pleasure to see him at work or running into him at the store. He always talked about you and his family who he loved deeply. Please accept my deepest and sincere condolences. Bud will be missed by many of us.
