Stevensville - Marion “Pic” Potter, 95, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at The Living Centre in Stevensville. Pic was born on January 26, 1922 at the Bass Creek ranch to her parents Mario and Mary Feronato. She was their 4th daughter. She developed a great work ethic working in the fields, riding horses, cooking for the hay crews, gardening and sewing. These values stayed with her all her life. She married Frank Potter on November 22, 1944 and was blessed with three daughters, Mary, Nancy and Jackie. She lived her entire life in Stevensville and enjoyed her garden, flowers and even sold night crawlers to all the fisherman! She was an avid bridge player, loved bingo, garage sales and fishing. She also volunteered many years at the Clothes Closet (free store). Frank preceded her in death along with sisters, Alba Carls, Teresa Cochran, Fran Ruffatto and Babe Ruffatto along with her parents. She is survived by her daughters, Mary (Ron) Terwilliger, Nancy Lowell and Jackie Potter. Also surviving are her grandkids, Kevin and Chris Terwilliger and families, Jamie Lowell, Jay Lowell and Mario Carmazzi, Athena Farr and Fran Farr. She also has 3 great-grandklds, Aksel Sorenson and Casey and Trevor Terwilliger, numerous nieces and nephews. At her request no service will be held but if you desire, you may donate to the Clothes Closet (free store) in care of Molly Hackett, 1384 Meridian Road, Victor, MT 59875. “A huge thank you to all the staff at The Living Centre for their compassion and loving care of Mom.”

To the "Potter" girls. Your Mom was such a great person and raised great girls also. Know you will miss her, but you have so many great memories to carry with you the rest of your lives. Life is like a book, so many good chapters that make you so glad that you got to be a part of it. All my sympathy to all of you and your families.

Dale and I met Pic shortly after moving to Stevensville. Following that meeting we spent many, many years enjoying meeting her and having a nice visit at every garage sale we could find! We both enjoyed the treasure hunt, for sure. Pic was so gracious to give Lorraine a silver and glass bowl that came from the home that we purchased for Louis and Lorraine when they moved to Stevi. Also, to this day we enjoy a rug that I had Pic make for us which has to be 20+ years old! Her journey leaves so many good memories. Our thoughts and prayers are sent to all the family.
