STEVENSVILLE – Tricia Hope Cassidy, 33, of Stevensville found peace on Sunday, January 20, 2019. She was born July 12, 1985 in Helena, MT, to Roger and Kathy Cassidy. Tricia was raised and attended school in Stevensville, but she also called Missoula, Seattle, and Portland home. Tricia will forever be remembered for her kind soul, her boundless creativity, and her ability to connect with so many people. Tricia loved all animals, especially her cat, Tux. She enjoyed drawing, computers, music, and making people laugh. Tricia was loved by many. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved forever. Roger and Kathy consider being her parents as one of the greatest gifts life has given them. In her life, Tricia endured many personal battles yet was able to maintain her sense of humor and witty personality. She fought long and hard, battling both physical and mental afflictions. Tricia is finally at rest in eternal peace. She is survived by her parents Roger and Kathy, brother Connor, aunts and uncles: Steve Hopkins, Teri (Mike) Lundberg, Brian (Carolyn) Cassidy, Kathy Kruzich, Anne (Pat) Mahoney, Dion (Patti) Cassidy, Terri (Joe) McClafferty, Frank (Kathy) Cassidy, Mike(Marla) Cassidy, Nancy Fisher, numerous cousins, and grandparents Alan and Terry Reavley. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Arlene Hopkins, and Gus and Mary Cassidy. The family asks that you consider memorial donations to the Missoula Chapter of the National Alliance for Mental Illness in Tricia’s name. NAMI Missoula, P.O. Box 5413, Missoula, MT 59806.

Terry and I are keeping you all in our hearts and prayers. Tricia was always kind as a student in my 6th Grade Class. My mother loved Tricia. She enjoyed visiting with her and thought she was adorable. We realize she was trying to cope with serious conditions. Though she will be missed, she will continue to be loved by those who knew her. Tricia felt she had the best family in the world. We believe Tricia had amazing parents and brother. The sun will peek out more and more as time passes. Love you all!

Dear Roger and Kathy,

My heart goes out to you both for your loss. I am so glad that Tricia is at peace but so very sorry for your loss. You are two wonderful people who were wonderful parents to Tricia. Words of comfort are tough at a time like this but I can only share the words that comforted me when my Mom died last year. "Grief never ends, but it changes. It's a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith. It is the price of love." Please take care.

Dear Kathy and Roger -
I feel as though my heart is bleeding grief for you and your loss of beloved Tricia. You were there for Tricia, remember that. and you did your best. You are in my prayers now and will be in the future as you learn to go forward without her physical presence. One of my favorite quotes from The Little Prince: “The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, they are felt with the heart.”
May you find your way to peace.

Our prayers and deepest condolences go out to you and your family. I will always remember how helpful she was all those years with that darn 8th grade promotion video and the patience she had for my technology ineptness.

Kathy, Roger, and Connor,

I am incredibly saddened to hear of Tricia's death. She will be greatly missed by so many. My memories of Tricia are all wonderful: her incredible wit and sense of humor, her outside-the-box thinking and intelligence that always amazed me. I rarely had a conversation with her that did not include both of us laughing. My fondest memory of her will be her unique perspective and positive outlook, regardless of the situation or topic.
May you all find peace with the passage of time. Her passing is a tragedy, but all of us are better for having known her.

Sending my condolences to the Cassidy family for the loss of your dear Tricia. May you find comfort from the bible scriptures at Acts 24:15 that “there is going to be a resurrection” and John 5:28, 29 that holds out a hope of being reunited with your loved one. God hates death and views it as an enemy. Soon he will conquer that enemy that brings sorrow and mourning to families everywhere -1 Corinthians 15:26.

My name is Alex and, although I didn’t know Tricia personally, please accept my condolences on the loss of your dear young loved one. The Bible can offer great comfort in these difficult times. When Jesus was on earth, he spoke of a wonderful time when he will call our dead loved ones back to life!! This incredible promise is recorded at John 5:28,29. I hope you can find some comfort in these words. If you would like to learn more about the resurrection or the future hope for the dead, please visit jw.org. I am so sorry for your loss.

Cassidys.... Our hearts hurt with yours. We were there when this wonderful baby came into your lives! All the school community so enjoyed the time we had with Tricia through all the years and beyond school. I can tell you, also, that she was one of my best HS mentors. Tricia came to my rescue when I needed help with a web site and guided me through that process following retirement, too. We all so loved her sense of humor and humble ways. Tricia was truly the lucky one to have been placed in your family; no other family could have been better. We have great sorrow but we also send good thoughts to all of you. We will cherish the fun memories with Tricia.
