In loving Memory of Marilyn Schmidt Stevensville - Marilyn Ramona Schmidt was born December 22 1937 to Duane and Fern Shaffer in Mason City Iowa. She passed away January 31, 2020. She is survived by her husband Ed, daughter Laurel Penick her husband Walter Ray their 4 sons and 3 great grand-children. She is also survived her son Bill his wife Denise and their 2 children. Marilyn attended school in Orchard Iowa. She Graduated in 1955 Valedictorian and later attended the Gale institute where she trained to be an airline stewardess. On February 9th 1958 she married her high school sweetheart Ed. They moved to Springdale, Arkansas where she would work in banking and he as an electrician. They settled there for a time where they had their 2 children. Later business fortunes moved them back to Mason City. During the following years they traveled extensively as Ed pursued his trade. This eventually led them to settling in the Florence/ Stevensville area in Montana. During this time their kids married and they became loving doting Grandparents. They eventually came to Florence Carlton Community Church. Here they found a loving community of Godly people who surrounded them, and welcomed them in their family. They had enjoyed their retirement for 20 years. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Florence Carlton Community Church.

Ed and family, our thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you learn to live without your beautiful Marilyn. She was a special God loving woman and will not be forgotten by those of us who loved her.

Ed, Laurel and Bill, many years have passed since I met this great Lady and wonderful family. My heart goes out to each of you. You have meant the world to me and mine over the years. Every time I saw Babe she was the same person as before, my family sends all our love.
