Mike, Jane & family,
We are sorry to learn of Jack's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. On June 2nd we will be in Billings meeting our son Dirk as he returns from Afghanistan, so we will be unable to attend Jack's memorial.

Mike: Our families go back many, many years to when your dad and my mom and dad went to high school together. I remember many times that our families spent together, several of them at the cabin at Flathead Lake. I absolutely adored your mother. She was a unique individual, and brightened a room with her presence. I also adored your dad. We visited him several times at North Valley, and he was still so sharp, and every bit a gentleman. It was a privilege to know them both.

My condolences to you and your family. I regret that I have been spending a lot of time out of state the last few years and had not had the opportunity to visit with Jack. I'm sue I related to you the story of our time up at the living center. He had a fine life and one we all should hope for and most seldom have. My best to you and hopefully we will see you from time to time.

Mike: I will miss my visit with your dad this summer. Your folks were just wonderful, fun people and will be greatly missed. I still laugh at some of the funny things your mother experienced. Your folks were so proud of you and your family. Regarding Jack's classmates, Mom had kept in touch with Harold Chittum, who lived in Longview WA and I believe is now living in Port Angeles WA, so he would be the last surviving class member. I may be wrong. I enjoyed our long phone visit a couple of years ago. I have your cell number so will give you a call soon.
