STEVENSVILLE - LD "Dee" Mathis, 78, went to live with the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Community Medical Center in Missoula.

Dee was born on May 22, 1934. He spent the greater part of his adult life as a contractor in Winfield, Kan. After retirement, he and his wife Jean, moved to Stevensville, where they have resided for the last 15 years.

Survivors include his wife, Jean; two sons, Leon of Tampa, Fla., and Roger of Sparta, Wis.; three daughters, Chris Adams of Winfield, Barbara Evans of Andover, Kan., and Julie Rhodes of Stevensville; 22 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Galilee Baptist Church, 208 Higgins Lane in Stevensville.
