They were married in 1937 and they resided at the family ranch in Stevensville which Lew managed. They raised Angus cattle, Tennessee Walking Horses and farmed and ranched. They built a home and lived in Polson for a time where they were members of several clubs. Myrt enjoyed her flowers and garden. Lew opened a lapidary shop/museum where he displayed his artifacts and rock work. They retired to the Three Mile area in Stevensville in 1985. Together they enjoyed their family and friends, also music, reading and gardening. Myrt enjoyed raising African Violets and painting. Her family and friends have many beautiful treasured paintings. Lew made rock tables and jewelry also treasured by family and friends. They were preceded in death by their youngest son Donald Lee, Roger’s wife Donna and grandson, Robbie. They are survived by sons, Douglas (Evelyn) and Roger; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter. To fulfill their final wishes, a memorial celebration of their lives will be held at the Whitesitt Funeral Home in Stevensville on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 2:00 P.M.

Doug and Evelyn and family,

Please accept my sympathy in the loss of both Myrt and Lew. I read the obits frequently but missed reading about Myrt in March. Both of their obits brought me up-to-date. I didn't know that both Don and Roger's wife Donna has passed away. The years just fly by. Hope we can get a class reunion together in the next year or so.
