Carol Hahn, 87, of Florence died of natural causes on September 25, 2014 at Community Medical Center. She was born to Julian Deloid Larsen and Iris Marie Buckland Larsen in Rigby, ID March 11, 1927. She graduated from Rigby High 1943. She worked with her grandparents on a ranch in Melrose, MT and as a telephone operator until she married Oscar Hahn, together they operated an electrical contracting business and ranched. They moved to Victor, MT from Missoula, MT in 1969 where they continued to ranch and contract. She moved to Florence, MT in 1994 and has resided there since. She was proceeded in death by her parents JD & Iris, Brother Max Larsen of Salmon, ID, and her husband Oscar. Carol is survived by her only child Candy Hahn of Florence, MT, Hazel Huntsman of Idaho Falls, Id and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed greatly by those who knew her, especially her sense of humor and great memory. Always positive she could see something to be thankful for no matter how dark the situation. She was an avid reader and writer, someone once said they couldn’t touch as many books as she had read and she could remember every one. A person of great generosity to everyone. Her wishes were to have memorials sent to the Shriners Crippled Children’s Hospitals or St. Jude Children’s Hospital of which she was a longtime supporter. As she said “I’ve had my life and those kids still deserve to live theirs”. Carol you will be missed but you were greatly loved. Private family interment will be in the Victor Cemetery. “Under starry skies she sleeps, in masters loving arms she waits”.
