Stevensville - Anna Marie Harn, 95, known as Anne to most of her Montana friends and “Annie” to her family, passed away peacefully at The Living Center Skilled Nursing Facility in Stevensville, MT. on April 7, 2021. She was born Jan. 18, 1926 in Hurst, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her father, Eden Earl Harn, her mother, Kimmie Snuggs Harn, and her brother, Edward T. Harn. Family survivors include her niece, Diane Harn Moore, Lake Helen, FL, her nephew, Charles Harn, Scottsdale, AZ, great nephews, Zachary Harn, Tampa, FL, Tony Atty, Miramar, FL and four great-great Nieces and Nephews, Miramar, FL. Before retiring from a thirty-year teaching career and moving to Stevensville in 1980, Anne taught girls’ P.E. at both the middle school and high school levels. She earned a BS in Physical Education from Southern Illinois University and an MS in Education, specializing in physical education from the University of Illinois. Anne was a member of the Stevensville United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and a life-time member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. For many years, Anne’s homemade candies, were a traditional part of the Stevensville UMC Christmas Bazaar. Anne loved to travel, hike, and spend time in the mountains. She had many wonderful friends in Montana and was truly blessed. Even though she lived far from most of her family, she visited them in Florida every year for as long as her health would permit. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday April 22, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the Stevensville United Methodist Church. Pastor Sarah Merchant will officiate. Anne will be buried in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Murphysboro, IL, alongside her Mother and Father. Anne’s wish was that any memorials would go to the Stevensville UMC. Jennifer - My mother and I heard of Anne’s passing out here in Wisconsin. I still recall one of my favorite memories of her when she and other close friends gathered at my Mom’s house in Stevensville for coffee. All the women were having a great time, laughing and joking with one another. She gave me many hand made cards and I still have several. She was very special and I am thankful to have known her and for her friendship with my Mom
Arlene - I have so many fond memories of Anne. I have known her for at least 25 years and am so very thankful for the memories I have. My life has been enriched for having known her. Even though COVID prevented visiting these last 15+ months, she was and remains, a cherished friend

My aunt, Annie, as the family always called her, will be missed by all of us. She was very good to me throughout the years, taking me on cross country trips and introducing me to Glacier National Park and Yellowstone. For the last 30 years, I have visited her in Stevensville. I will really miss those times, but know she is home with her Lord and Savior and is at peace. We love you, Annie

I met Anna when I was briefly a patient at the Living Center. I always found her upbeat and kind--and fun to be around. She will be missed.

I knew Ann for many years. She helped us establish a Bitterroot Valley chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. What a sweet, kind, wonderful lady she was!
