I worked with Galen about 25 years ago. He came to work for my brother Gary on Grace rig 49. He had retired from Petro Hunt I believe and he couldn't stand to have that much spare time. He was a lot of fun to work with even though at the time I was just a punk kid 29 year old. He showed the derrickhand up by not missing a stand tripping in the hole. That derrick hand never did live that down.

I am so sorry to hear of Galen's passing! I lived next door to him when he lived in the Log Cabin home. He would always stop at the house to visit when he was out "breaking in" anew colt, or driving by. He was such a talker, and so many stories! He was a great friend and will be missed. God Bless to family and friends.

Glen was the best neighbor we had. He was never too busy to visit or lend a hand if needed. He was generous to all and was trusting, kind and had a wonderful sense of humor. We loved having him for meals and tried to be as good a friend to him as he was to us. He will certainly be missed.
