Obituary

Florence - Diana Neeley went home to be with Jesus on May 29th, 2023 at the age of 93yrs. She passed away peacefully with family by her side in the home that she shared with her son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Dara Neeley. At this time Diana resided in Florence, MT. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and devoted Christian. She was born on December 7th, 1929 in Midwest Wyoming to Beula and Clarence Farmer. At the age of 13 she moved to California with her mother and siblings, Myrna Anderson and Clarence Farmer Jr. There as a young adult she married her first husband, Lewis Sanderson. He died of TB not long after they were married. A few years later she met and married Merlin (Buddy) Neeley and went on to have five children together, Laree, Karen, Aaron, Lissa, and Dayl. They moved to Washington in 1964 where they devoted their lives to raising their children. They shared life together until the day he was laid to rest on Feb. 16th 2000. Diana dedicated her life to her family. Her unconditional love and care was amazing. She spent her whole life making sure her family was taken care of and happy. Because of her love the whole family wanted to be around her and there were always big holiday gatherings. She loved it. She enjoyed planting lots of flowers and bird watching. Her absolute favorites were yellow roses and hummingbirds. She loved reading the Francine Rivers book series and making family albums for future generations to see. She gave her heart to the lord and prayed that her family would do the same. She was devoted to praying and reading the Bible daily. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. Diana leaves behind four children, Laree Neeley of Centralia WA, Karen Ragan of Centralia WA, Aaron Neeley and wife Dara of Florence MT, Dayl Neeley of Centralia WA, one step-child, Cheri Wheeler of Millham TX, and her sister Myrna Anderson of Moses Lake, WA. Diana will also be dearly missed by her 13 grandchildren, Richard, Heather, Jason, and Misty (Laree), Melissa and Krysti (Karen), Tanna and Kyle (Aaron), Jake and April (Lissa), Tristian and Parker (Dayl), Paula and Christopher (Cheri), 23 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Diana was preceded in death by Clarence Farmer (father), Beula Hougland (mother), Lewis Sanderson (husband) and their 1-week-old baby, Buddy Neeley (husband), Lissa Butterfield (daughter), Tracy Butterfield (grand-daughter), Katie Neeley (grand-daughter), and Clarence Farmer Jr. (brother). A private family graveside service will be held at Missoula City Veterans Cemetery on June 24th at 11am. The family invites all who loved Diana to join them in a celebration of life following the service at 609 Tie Chute Ln, Florence, MT, 59833 at 2pm.
