Bessie Lee (Latham) Buie

Missoula  -  Bessie Lee Buie, 88, of Missoula passed away from Alzheimer's Thursday, July 1, 2021at BeeHive Homes. She was born October 29,1932, in Regina, New Mexico, the daughter of the late Elward and Lena Latham. Bessie was born and raised in Regina, and married James Buie on May 26, 1950. They eventually moved to Montana and lived the majority of their lives in Cardwell. Bessie worked several years making pottery at Clays and Calico in Cardwell. Bessie enjoyed being a homemaker and baking was one of her favorite past times. Her cinnamon rolls, homemade bread, and fudge were the best. Bessie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, brother Johnny, and sister AnnaMae. Survivors include seven children: Linda (Lyn) Gallik, Kathy (Mike) McGlynn, Shirley Cole, Evelyn Klemo, Janice (Mike) Froehlich, Michael (Lynne) Buie, and Sharon Jeffries; two brothers George Latham and William Latham, and two sisters Helen Wasson and Allene Lasster; twenty grandchildren; thirty-eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. Per Bessie's request, there will be no services. There will be a family gathering in Regina, New Mexico at a later date.
