Betty (Mart) Lambert Shorten

Stevensville - Our beloved mother Betty Lambert Shorten, 92, went peacefully to the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at home. She was a long-time resident of the Stevensville area. She was born November 13, 1928 to Wren and Doris Mart in Jordan, Montana. She was a member of the Methodist Church, actively involved in the Senior Center and other organizations. She had a servant’s heart, always putting others first, so she was involved in many areas. She loved the Lord, family and friends, playing cards, playing cards, laughing, had a witty sense of humor, and always had a positive outlook on life. She was preceded in death by her husbands Ed Lambert and Les Shorten, parents Wren and Doris Mart and siblings Justin, Wayne, Melvin and Margie, daughter Elaine, son Robert and grandson Justin. She is survived by her children Kathryn (Jim); Debra (Paul); David (Edia); 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, October 11, 2021 at Whitesitt Funeral Home at 11:30 A.M. followed by food and fellowship at the Stevensville Senior Center.
