Stevensville - Bradley Dale Paulson was born in Missoula, Montana on November 14, 1961, to Bill and Bea Paulson. Sadly, Brad passed away of natural causes on May 15, 2026. He will be missed by all.
Brad was raised in the Rattlesnake area in Missoula. He attended various grade schools in the area and graduated from Hellgate high school in 1980.
Brad and his brother Bill, along with the neighborhood buddies had the best teenage years imaginable. Living in the Rattlesnake neighborhood had lots of opportunities for fun and trouble in the 1970’s. There was horseback riding, fishing on the creek, motorcycle riding in the Rattlesnake wilderness. Camping, fishing and hunting whenever possible in the upper Rattlesnake. There are so many stories it is hard to put them down in writing. Brad also enjoyed all the camping, fishing and hunting trips with his family and friends. There were countless summer days on Flathead Lake fishing for Kokanee salmon. Grandpa Gill had to put a fishing limit on the kids because he was overwhelmed with cleaning fish.
After high school Brad went to work for Blackfoot telephone company in the engineering department. He worked for Blackfoot Telephone for 36 years until he retired in 2016. Brad lived in Stevensville Montana most of his adult life. He enjoyed horseback riding and packed into the Bob Marshall wilderness area numerous times. He was also an avid skeet and trap shooter. He shot in skeet and trap league since the early 1970’s. He also shot in many skeet tournaments and became very proficient at using a shotgun. He was a member of the Missoula Trap and Skeet club for over forty years. Brad was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed many years of setting up hunting camp with his brother and hunting buddies. There was always a good time at hunting camp and occasionally success with the hunt. Brad also enjoyed upland bird hunting and had many successful pheasant hunting trips to South Dakota with his hunting buddies. After Brad retired, he found a lot more time for fishing, he was always looking forward to the next trip. There were many trips to Canyon Ferry, Hauser, Holter, Noxen Reservoir, Neah Bay, Alaska and many more. Brad also took up golfing. He spent many days at the Stevensville golf course with his golfing buddies. Brad bought the “High Country Club” bar in Stevensville from Uncle Dale in 2004. He owned and operated the bar for 17 years and sold it in 2021. He met many friends while owning The High Country Club.
Brad met his wife Linda in 2015. They were married in 2023. They resided primarily in Stevensville and own a condo in Lake Havasu, Arizona where they would spend some of the winter months. Brad and Linda enjoyed their time together with all the camping, fishing and travels.
