Hamilton formerly of Bismark, ND - Clarence Dickhaut was born in Halliday, North Dakota, on July 18, 1931, to Jacob and Mary (Litke) Dickhaut. He was raised on the family farm with 9 other siblings. His parents were part of the Germans from Russia (Ukraine) immigrants that settled in the Dakotas. He enjoyed hunting, T.V., and visiting with friends and family. He was a lifelong member of the 7th Day Adventist Church. Clarence retired from a long career with the Bureau of Reclamation (USDA). While he was there, he was Survey Tech Party Chief. His job with the government moved him, and his family, to posts in Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, and Arizona. He was united in marriage to Harriet Elnora McCoy, on October 7, 1951, in Tolstoy, South Dakota. Four children were born into this home: Everett, Howard, Belinda, and Charlene. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Everett and Howard; and siblings: Reuben, Lillian, Dan. Reiny, Gertrude, Elsie, Esther, and Linda. He is survived by his wife Harriet; daughters, Belinda (Dean) Schmidt, Charlene (Mark) Twist; sister, Durnetta Werth; grandchildren: Evan (Amy) Schmidt, Nyla (Justin) Woitte, Talia (Matt) Anderson, and Denver Twist; great-grandchildren, Runa and Noah Anderson, Gemma and Jessa Woitte; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
