Stevensville - Conrad Eckert, age 79, of Stevensville died peacefully in his sleep at home on Saturday night, October 23, with his wife and family by his side. He was born in Worland, WY on July 31, 1942. While he was still very young, he moved to Larslan, MT to live with his mother’s sister after his father died and eventually attended Canyonville Academy in Oregon. While at Family Camp in Hungry Horse, MT, he proposed to Carolyn Storms of Scobey, MT after only knowing her for three days! They were married on November 9, 1962 and would be celebrating fifty-nine years together this Fall. He is preceded in death by his parents; Conrad Eckert and Charlotte (Borum) Eckert; his brothers; Gerald and Phillip; and his grandson, Grant Pederson. He is survived by his wife, his daughters Joanie (Steve Pederson); Barbara Eckert (Tom Hoffman); Jacqui (Russell Skadberg); and his son, Conrad (Tonya Eckert). He is also survived by his grandchildren Racheal (Pederson) McCoy; Jothanael, Tanessa, and Taeliahnna Skadberg; Wesley Yarnall, and Jamie, Kylie, and Halie Eckert; and great grandchildren Kaialynn, Kaitlynn, and Dillon McCoy. His memorial service will be held at Whitesitt Funeral Home in Stevensville at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 28, 2021, with a reception following at Frontier Café at 3:00 pm in honor of his last Coffee Break.
