Daniel Damon Obituary

Stevensville - Heaven received a new angel on November 14, 2025. To those he has left behind, it was far too soon. Daniel was so young and had so much potential still ahead of him. Our hearts are heavy with grief, yet we find comfort in God's promise: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." - Psalm 34:18

Daniel Lawrence Damon was born on August 24, 1998 to Gwynne Sanchez and David Damon. Daniel was a descendant and proud member of the Little Shell Tribe of Great Falls, Montana. He carried that pride deeply, along with a strong bond to his many brothers, sister, aunts, uncles, and extended family.

Daniel was a tech nerd-truly and proudly so. He received his first computer at just nine years old and quickly taught himself how to build computers and fix almost anything he put his mind to. He loved playing computer and Xbox games online with his Grandpa Mike, his little brothers Juan, and Zachery, whom he adored. One of his favorite games was World of Warcraft.

Daniel also loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fly fishing and rafting with his best buddy Mikie, floating the river with family and friends, and shooting guns up in the mountains. He had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved cat, KiKi. Daniel believed in living fully and finding joy in the simple moments, reminding us that "This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." - Psalm 118:24

Daniel was a jokester with a laugh so contagious it made everyone around him laugh too-a sound that will never be forgotten. He had a.huge heart and cared deeply for his family. If you needed help, Daniel was always there, living out the truth that "Love never fails." - 1 Corinthians 13:8

Daniel was preceded in passing by his father, David Damon; his brother, Kyle Damon; his grandparents, Julia and Richard Damon; and his maternal grandfather, Bill Sweedman.

He leaves behind a large and loving family who will forever carry him in their hearts: his mother, Gwynne Sanchez; his maternal little brother, Juan Sanchez; his paternal siblings, Grant Damon, Shane Damon, Shawna Damon, Tyler Damon, and Zachery Damon; his grandparents, Harriett Vaughn and Mike Rasmussen; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Daniel also leaves behind his longtime girlfriend, Ally Johnson, and his "other mom," Janet Wood, with whom he shared many years and countless adventures. He cherished the family he found with Bandi and Stephen Johnson, building long-lasting relationships and memories that will always be treasured. Through these bonds, we are reminded that "Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away" - Song of Solomon 8:7

Daniel was taken far too soon. There was so much more for him to do and see. Yet we hold onto the promise that "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." - 2 Corinthians 5:8

God has welcomed Daniel with open arms and unconditional love, preparing a place for him, just as it is written: "In my Father's house are many rooms ... I go to prepare a place for you."-John 14:2 Until we meet again, Daniel, know that you are deeply loved and profoundly missed by so many. We rest in the hope that "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain." - Revelation 21:4
