David L. "Dave" Trenk

"Following a heart attack and subsequent stroke, Dave passed away on November 5, 2021. Dave lived in Florence most of his life. Like his mother before and his five siblings after, he attended Florence Carlton School for 12 years. He served in the Army from 1966 to 1969 including a stretch in Viet Nam. He was a self-employed welder with a good word-of-mouth reputation. His father, Paul L Trenk, and mother, Helen Schreckendgust Trenk preceded him in death, as did two of his brothers, Doug Trenk and Jerry Trenk. He is survived by his brother Hank (Henry) Trenk (wife Peggy), his sister Judy Trenk (husband Rick Haglund), and sister Valerie Trenk (husband Will Kuckenbacker) as well as nieces and nephews Darby Trenk, Brandi Trenk, Krystal Kuckenbaker, Danielle Trenk, Michael Trenk, and Joshua Trenk, and their children. The memorial service for Dave will be at the Florence Community Church 20075 Old Hwy 93, Florence, at 11:00 a.m. on May 21, 2022. Please join us in a celebration of his life."
