Elaine "ET" (Manseau) Tietz

Missoula - Elaine Alice Manseau Tietz was born in Harlowton, MT on April 13,1938 to Horace and Azalea Spaulding Manseau . She moved to Missoula in the late 1960’s. Elaine passed away on Wednesday January 5, 2022 at the age of 83 at Riverside Health and Rehab in Missoula. Elaine, known as “ET” to her friends, was an avid knitter, knitting socks and hats for family, friends and everyone she met. She loved dancing, listening to Tschaikovsky and humming along with music in the car on long Sunday drives. She was a very competitive bowler rolling strikes with a pink bowling ball her kids gave her. Her love of children made her an honorary Grandma to many children and a proud Mama to her own. In her retirement, she would travel. She enjoyed mall walking with her dog Muffin in a dog stroller, travelling in her RV with the Good Sam Club and volunteering. She would liven up any room she entered with her smile and a little “jig” as she called it. ET words of wisdom: “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all”. Be nice. I love you. She is survived by her son, three daughters, ten grandchildren, three Great grandchildren two sisters and one brother. She is preceded in death by her son Jeff and Brother Frank. She will be interred at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Missoula. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Summer.
