James Arthur Wood

Stevensville - James Arthur Wood, 76, passed away April 15, 2022 in Montana. He was born January 23, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio and lived most of his life in California. He is the son of Robert G Wood and Rita (McNamara) Wood. Jim was a world traveler, great reader of the fine arts, history and philosophy. He was also the maker of children’s wooden toys. Jim served in the U.S. Army for 2 years in the Korean War. Jim is survived by his sisters Sharon Wood and Patricia (Wood) Tetley; his brother Gregory Wood and his wife Anne; Nieces and nephews and their children; and his beloved dog Chloe. Jim will be laid to rest at the Missoula VA Cemetery. He will be buried in a beautiful handmade cedar casket made in the Bitterroot Valley where he spent the last years of his life. RIP Jim.  Funeral Service will be held April 20, 2022 at 1:30 PM at the Western Montana State Veterans Cemetery in Missoula Montana with full Military Honors.
