Missoula - The family of Jeanne Fae Lunde-Nelson announces that in the early morning hours of May 11, 2022, Heaven received another angel. Jeanne was the eldest of five children for Chester and Nell Lunde of Belmont, Montana. After the family relocated to Three-Mile, Jeanne attended Lone-Rock Elementary School. She later went on to graduate from Stevensville High in 1941. Shortly after graduation, Jeanne married the love of her life, Gail Leslie Nelson, on March 23, 1942, by his Uncle Joe Ranger’s bedside. He had wanted to see them married. They lived in the Three-Mile area outside Stevensville, Montana, during the first years of their marriage and in Woodland, Washington, before finally settling in Missoula, Montana, in a house they built. Jeanne worked at 4B’s for 37 years as a cook. She began in the log building on West Broadway and continued to work at the East Broadway location until they closed their doors. Jeanne enjoyed camping, rockhounding, crocheting, and candy making (an activity enjoyed by all her family members). Additionally, she enjoyed traveling, especially going to Hawaii with her daughter Arlene and son-in-law Jack. She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, two brothers: George and Neil, her sister, Rose, daughter Arlene, 3 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Jeanne is survived by her sister: Louise, son-in-law: Jack Urness, daughters: Nancy Engebretson (Dave), RoseAnne (Tom), sons: Gail Jr (Barbara), ten grandchildren, 24 greatgrandchildren, and numerous great-greatgrandchildren, relatives, and friends.
