Joseph P. "Joe" Jackson

Stevensville - Joseph P. "Joe" Jackson, 90, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023 at his home in Stevensville surrounded by his loving wife and daughter. Joe was born May 13, 1933 in Helena, MT. At the age of 17, he signed up to serve in the U.S. Navy and was stationed aboard the USS Tolovana. He served during the Korean War from 1951 until 1954. Joe married Araceli Cogtas on June 7, 1999.followed by a another ceremony at the Stevensville United Methodist Church on July 24, 1999. Joe worked as a banker, outfitter owner and salesman for Johne Deere and EKO until his retirement. He was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Karen Nakaji and Laura Taulbee. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Araceli “Cely” of Stevensville; daughter, Jodee White and her husband Steve of Clancy, MT; son, David Jackson and his wife Brandi of Oregon; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stevensville United Methodist Church. A graveside service with military honors will be held also on Friday at the Western Montana State Veterans Cemetery in Missoula at 3:00 P.M.
