Mark Scahel Obituary

Florence - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mark Scahel, 65, who went to be with God on February 15, 2025. Born on December 17, 1959, Mark lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering kindness. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Mark leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He was the cherished husband of Dixie, a loving son to Tom and Bonnie, and a devoted father to Michael (Samantha}, Brian (Caitlin}, and Leanne (Pele). His joy was multiplied sevenfold by his beloved grandchildren: Nathen, Nayliah, Nayomi, Blaise, Killien, Mickey, and Delaney. He was also a dear brother to Michael (Michelle), and a caring uncle to Nora and Ian. Beyond his family, Mark touched the lives of countless friends. He was the embodiment of a selfless spirit, always the first to lend a helping hand without ever expecting anything in return. His eyes, truly sparkling like diamonds, reflected the warmth and genuine care he held for others. Mark will be remembered for his loving, strong, kind, funny, and faithful nature. He was a pillar of strength, a devoted husband and father, and a loyal friend. He faced his illness with incredible courage and grace, his spirit remaining steadfast throughout. The twinkle in his eyes, a reflection of his vibrant soul, will be forever missed. We will celebrate Mark's life and the beautiful memories he created later this summer. Details regarding the celebration will be shared in the coming weeks. In our hearts, Mark's spirit will live on.
