Michael Dean Ellsworth, Sr.

Stevensville - It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Dean Ellsworth Sr., age 70, of Stevensville, Montana, on January 16th, 2025, at his home after a short battle with cancer. Michael was born on November 19th, 1954, in Missoula, Montana at Saint Patrick’s Hospital, the son of Albert and Betty Ellsworth. Michael graduated from Hellgate High School in 1973. Michael was a “Jack of all trades” and had worked construction his entire life building many homes throughout Missoula and Ravalli Counties. Michael spent most of his life in the beautiful town of Stevensville, Montana, becoming loved and cherished by all who knew him. He was a caring friend, a loving brother and father, and was known for his hard work ethics. He is survived by his two children, Michael Dean Ellsworth II, Jennifer J. Ellsworth, and grandson Logan Schubert; and by his younger brothers, Robert and Patrick Ellsworth. His family, friends, and all who knew him will hold his memory dear. Michael Dean Ellsworth Sr. is in the loving embrace of our Lord Jesus Christ for all eternity. A Memorial Service and celebration for Michael’s life honoring the legacy he leaves will be held on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Whitesitt Funeral Home in Stevensville, MT.
