Patricia Lynn "Pat" (Mercer) Fender

Stevensville - Patricia Lynn Fender (Mercer) of Stevensville, Mt. passed on August 27, 2023 Pat was born February 13, 1958 to Walter Wayne Mercer and Midge (Taylor) Mercer in Oxnard, CA Pat moved her family from California in 1994 to Stevensville, MT where she raised her two Boys TJ and Scott Fender. Pat loved flowers and has all of her life. She would walk home from school with a bunch of flowers for her Mom picked in the neighbor’s yard along the way, “because they were beautiful”. Pat was so creative in many ways. She loved decorating the office for all of the holidays. She would come up with some challenging but creative ideas for the scarecrow contest every year. Pat worked at Stevensville Hardware as their florist when they had a floral flower department. Most people will have known Pat as a true artist in floral design; an out-of-the-box designer. She was gifted & creative when it came to designing for weddings and special occasions. She easily captured the essence of what her clients wanted for those occasions. When they closed down the flower department, she went to work for Brian Potton at Farmers Insurance where she worked until her passing. She enjoyed all the people she had the opportunity work with. Pat was blessed with so many very close friends that loved and cherished her. Her sarcastic sense of humor & friendship will be missed beyond measure. She has left a huge empty spot in everyone’s lives that loved her. Patricia is survived by TJ Fender, resides in North Dakota, Scott Fender (Kinzie) and her two grandchildren Francesca and Rayden they reside in Virginia. Her sister, Maureen (Tonu) Wali lives in Corvallis, MT and her brother, Michael lives in Stevensville. Pat was preceded in death by Walter Mercer and Midge Mercer, (both WWII vets), her niece, Heather Mercer and nephew, Ryan Mercer Celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
