Stevensville - On January 22, 2026, God called a cowboy home, Robert J. “Jake’ Pinheiro.
Born in Santa Maria, CA, Jake eventually found his true home in Stevensville, MT. A lifelong horseman, Jake transitioned from riding bulls to a respected career as a farrier. He was a "Man's Man" known for his integrity, his transparency, and of course, the Tootsie Rolls he kept in his truck for the local kids.
Nothing meant more to Jake than family. He never missed a grandson's game or a granddaughter's rodeo, always watching with a beaming face. He will be sorely missed and his absence forever felt-not only by his family, but by the entire community.
Jake was preceded in death by his mother, Annabele Avila; his father, Robert Cardoza Pinheiro; and his brother, John Pinheiro.
He is survived by his sister, Anne Hardwick ("Baby Anne"); his son, Joe Pinheiro ("Joey"); and Carol Harrison. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Michaela Blair ("Baby"); three grandsons, Trestin Pinheiro, Hunter Pinheiro, and Logan Harrison; and three great-grandsons, Asher, Ryder, and Bridger Blair.
A "Celebration of Life" ceremony will be held at the Fort Owen Ranch, in Stevensville, on February 7th, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. Our family welcomes all who knew him, to attend.
