Rose Marie (Shoen) Job Edens

Florence - On the morning of October 29, 2022, Rose passed away at home in Florence, MT. Rose was 83 years old. Rose was born in Comfrey, Minnesota on April 1, 1939. She was one of seven children born and raised by Willard and Mary Shoen. She grew up in Missoula MT. With her first husband, Rose had 9 children, and they became guardians of two grandsons when they tragically lost a daughter in 1981. The couple later divorced. The family lived on a ranch in Frenchtown for many years before moving closer to Missoula. Mom taught us kids so much; cooking, gardening, sewing, tending the animals and each other and so many life lessons. She helped us with our 4-H projects and helped run the 4-H café at the fairgrounds for several years. She made the best vegetable beef soup and cinnamon rolls. She sewed our clothes when we were young and enjoyed quilting in more recent years. Mom retired from Sears where she worked in the hardware department for most of her 15 years there. Rose moved to Florence to be with Everett Edens. They enjoyed many years together, fishing and camping and riding in the mountains on their 4 wheelers. Mom loved her flowerbeds and planted a variety of beautiful flowers. Rose is survived by her husband, Everett; children; Terry (Bill) Thuis, Patty (Bill) Alde, Audrey Anderson, Dan (Kim) Job, Janette (Floyd) Ployhar, Lorrie (Dennis) Bennett, Scott (Missy) Job, Alan (Jennifer) Job; grandsons she raised; Travis Job and Josh Sandau, and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Joe, Agnes and Peggy. Additionally, Everett’s children, Bill (Mary Beth) Dan (Ronni) and Lynne (Nate Tomicek) and the Eden grandkids were an important part of Rose’s life. Rose was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Sandau; grandson Matthew Edwards; her parents, Willard and Mary; 3 brothers, Larry, Tom and Paul Shoen; and several other members of her extended family. Please join us to celebrate her life at the memorial service on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Florence Carlton Church, 20075 Old Hwy 93, Florence MT 59833.
