Thomas Charles "Tom" Cratty

Victor - Thomas Charles Cratty, 69, of Victor, MT, passed away Friday March 3rd, 2023 at St Patrick Hospital in Missoula. He was born June 27th, 1953 to Henry C. Cratty and Mary Coldiron in Hillsboro OR. Tom graduated from Yamhill Carlton Union High School in 1971. He married his high school sweetheart, Susan Marie DeLay, in Gaston Or, in 1973. Tom and Sue had 2 children. Tom started working for Hank’s Thriftway in 1968 and continued there until 1993. In 1993, Tom and Sue moved to Corvallis, MT and Tom worked in Construction. Tom was an avid hunter with a legendary success rate. Tom enjoyed learning new skills and hobbies and excelled in any craft or trade using his hands. Over the years he developed skills in leather working, jewelry making, wood working, and blacksmithing. He often combined his skills and created artwork with mixed mediums. Tom was known for having a deep singing voice and sang at various churches and events over the years. Tom was known for his quick whit and sarcastic sense of humor, followed by his booming laugh. Tom was survived by his wife Susan, mother Mary, children, Wes Cratty and Amanda Harris, his four sisters, Eula, Carlene, Donna, and Jan. Tom had five grand-children, Shyanne, Elijah, Camas, Halle, and Linnea. Tom was proceeded in death by his father, Henry. There will be a Memorial Celebration to be announced later this spring.
