Stevensville - Victor ‘Vic’ Patrick Ralls, aka Rooster/Chachi. Vic crossed the finish line on September 16, 2023, surrounded by his close family while watching his favorite Formula 1 race. Vic was born October 24, 1945, in Hailey, Idaho, to Patrick and Jessie Ralls. The Ralls family moved to the Bitterroot Valley when Vic was five years old, where Vic met the love of his life, Bev Weigand, at a teen dance in Stevensville where they spent the next 64 years together. Vic and Bev were married in Stevensville on January 23, 1965, and welcomed their first son, Rob Patrick Ralls, shortly after. During that same summer, the Ralls family moved to Spokane, WA, where Vic attended barber school and won state awards for his barbering skills—then returned to the Bitterroot Valley, where Vic and Bev welcomed their second son, Chris Michael Ralls, in 1968. Vic continued to barber at various barber shops in Western Montana until 1978, when Vic became a real estate agent and later a broker, forming Properties West. After many years of real estate adventures, the Ralls Family started a small business, leading to Ole’s Country Store and Rooster’s Casino, located at the Wye in Stevensville. Among many other business ventures, including the Stevensville bowling alley, Four Seasons Storage units, and multiple bars and casinos in the Stevensville area, the Ralls family once again embarked on another escapade and purchased the Missoula Livestock Exchange as well as the Great Falls Livestock Exchange getting back into both Vic and Bev’s family roots. During this time, Vic and Bev established the Bar 41 Ranch in Florence, MT, where they welcomed their four grandchildren, Ryan, Austin, Chelsea, and Alexa. On any given day, you could find Vic outside tinkering with his beloved John Deere and countless other classic cars, and if you were lucky, you might have caught him sunbathing on the front steps. Vic was known to cause a little bit of havoc in our community by needing to be rescued once or twice by the neighbors when he found himself high-centered on a rock he swore was not there before while mowing. Vic was also known to repair or fix items in a very particular way, to the family; this was known as “vic-mized” or good luck using it again. Over the last few years, Vic developed a love for F1 racing, Fox News, and restoring his ‘68 Nova. Vic is preceded in death by his father and mother, Patrick and Jessie Ralls; stepmother, Eunice Ralls; sister, Mary Gillingham; brother, Mike Ralls; son, Chris Michael Ralls. He is survived by his wife, Bev Ralls; son, Rob Ralls; grandchildren, Ryan(Sabrina) Ralls; Austin Ralls, Chelsea Ralls; and Alexa(Addison) Ralls. Vic’s life will be celebrated at the Lonesome Dove Saloon at 201 Main Street, Stevensville, Montana, at 2 :00 P.M. on Sunday, October 15, 2023. If you have any questions, please contact Rob directly. Vic was a lover of all animals, and instead of flowers, the family requested donations to be made to your local animal shelter in his name. Peace with you; see you later, Cachi!
