Stevensville - Wayne Russel Nunley at age 68 of Stevensville passed away on October 18, 2021. He was born August 22, 1953 in Livingston, MT to Russel Clinton Nunley and Caroline Yvonne Ronning. Both preceded him in death. Wayne enjoyed many years working in Alaska with Nabors and Doyon Drilling Company. Among other jobs, he also worked for American Asphalt Company paving many of the well-traveled streets of Missoula. He enjoyed his Denver Bronco games, working on vehicles in his shop, hunting and fishing. He was especially fond of the Bob Marshall Wilderness. Wayne was married to Cheri Bruns for 15 years and is survived by children Shane and Juanita; grandchildren Nicole, Yakira, and Joshua; and 3 siblings Cindy Ankney, Scott Nunley, Connie Thomas (Chuck Thomas). He had 4 nephews Randy Spadt (Tammie), Jason Spadt, Ryan Thomas (Jill), Andy Thomas, and a niece Carrie Nunley. There were also several great nieces and nephews. Even though he will be missed, his loved ones are grateful for the peace and joy he can rest in now.
