Yvonne M. (Roberts) Findley

Missoula - Yvonne M. Findley of Stevensville, MT passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026, at the age of 90. She was born on March 18, 1936, in Missoula to Eugene H. Roberts and Claudia G. Roberts.

Yvonne attended St. Antony’s and Sacred Heart Academy in Missoula, where she formed many lifelong friendships and cherished memories. In February of 1958, she married Edward Gerald “Jerry” Findley. Though later divorced, they shared many years together and experiences that became part of her life story.

Yvonne was a woman who truly enjoyed people, music, laughter, and the outdoors. She was involved in the Jaycees, Five Valley Accordion Association, Sweet Adeline’s, the Red Hat Society, and Pantry Partners. She also attended Spirit of Christ Mission in Lolo. In her younger years, she especially loved golfing, boating, fishing, camping, gardening, and dancing. Her warm spirit and joyful personality touched many throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Claudia Roberts; her sister, Joanne Stemple; and her brother-in-law, Louie Stemple.

Yvonne is lovingly survived by her sister-in-law, Eloise “Gay” Findley; her nephew, William Durbin (Carol); her niece, Lisa Charbonneau; three great-nephews, Trey, Andre, and Alex; and great-niece, Arianna.

A private graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at New St. Mary's Cemetery.
