Bill and Helen Kropp

Owners

Bill and Helen Kropp, owners and operators of The Whitesitt Funeral Home, were both born and raised in Helena, Montana. The Funeral Business was well known to both as Bill spent many summers in Browning, Montana with dear family friends, Bill and Eva Riddle who owned and operated the Riddle Funeral Home. Helen’s father owned and operated Retz Funeral Home, in Helena, so she was involved in many of the daily responsibilities.

Bill’s interest in Funeral Directing began with Tom Twichel at Retz Funeral Home in 1983. He chose to attend Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago, Illinois, graduating in 1987 and has been graciously serving families ever since. Helen is also employed part time as the program director at The Women’s Health Club in Missoula.

They have two children. Kallan attends Montana State University studying engineering and Katelyn is a student at The University of Montana enrolled in the Radiologic Technology Program. Yes, they are a divided family, and love cheering for both Montana colleges in all sports. The Kropp family realizes the importance of their Montana roots and feel honored Dean and Peggy Whitesitt have allowed them to continue to operate the family owned business and respectfully serve the families in the Bitterroot and Missoula Valleys.
