Coeur d' Alene - Thelma Marie McVay O'Dell was born in Unionville, Missouri on November 24, 1923. Karen Cutsforth, married to Gene Cutsforth, of Stevensville, MT; Susie Russell, married to Chuck Russell, of Coeur d' Alene, ID; David O'Dell of Gardiner, MT; and Roger O'Dell, married to Laurinda O'Dell, of Coeur d' Alene, ID, along with sixteen grandchildren. Shane O'Dell of Oroville, W A; Sam Rupe of San Diego, CA; Tina Marks of Greenacres, W A; Tracy Woods of Nine Mile Falls, W A; Tammy Cutsforth of Missoula, MT; Ruben Sanchez of Coeur d' Alene, ill; Becky Bradley of Coeur d' Alene, ID; Shelly Russell of Columbus, GA; Sharaya O'Dell of Bozeman, MT; Shareena O'Dell of Gardiner, MT; Joshua O'Dell of Gardiner, MT; Jonathan O'Dell of Coeur d' Alene, ID; Bethany Vardaman of Lewisburg, OH; Shawna Berti of Coeur d' Alene, ID; Taylor O'Dell of Coeur d' Alene, ID; and April O'Dell of Coeur d' Alene, ID, several great grandchildren and quite a few great great grandchildren.   Mrs. O'Dell moved to the Coeur d' Alene area in 1987 from Stevensville, Montana where she had resided for 25 years. Mrs. O'Dell was a valued member of every community she lived in. She taught a Women's Bible Study, Sunday School, and most recently her room was known as The Gathering Place. Residents would seek her wisdom as she was always willing to share her Biblical knowledge. She continually enriched the lives of all who knew her by gentle instruction. After a lifetime of sharing her skills through sewing and embroidery, she recently took up making Origami projects, again, sharing with those around her. A Woman of such character is even more valued by her family. All of us admired her strength and courage in the face of great adversity. She loved and valued her family, often hosting family reunions in Montana. Showing us all how to make happy memories and encouraging us to do the same. She was always full of kindness and generosity. The example she set for us is one worth following. Such a loving, gracious and forgiving person, she will be GREATLY missed. A celebration of her life will be held at Whitesitt Funeral Home in Stevensville, Montana on Monday, May 2 at 1 :00 PM. with a reception following at the Light of Valley Assembly of God Church in Stevensville.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.whitesittfuneralhome.com.
