Stevensville - Beautiful, strong, courageous, patient, kind, affectionate, feisty, witty, funny, smart, caring…our HERO! Judith Ann Townsend peacefully passed away Tuesday, May 17th, 2016 in her home, with loved ones by her side, after a long battle with lung and brain cancer. Judy loves “her rock” more than any words could describe. Gary is the sparkle in her eye. The skip in her step. Her beautiful daughters are her pride and joy. Her grandkids and great grandbabies are the glitter in her gold. You often times laugh along with Judy while teasing her brothers, and smile with her as she listens to her sisters for hours. Anyone who knows her would agree that she is the neatest lady. She makes more friends than one person could handle. And she is a genuine friend to each and every one of them, near and far. This value, amongst many others, is instilled in her daughters and will be passed on for many generations. If you ever mention that you collect anything, and I mean anything, you will have several of these “anything’s” within a week. How she finds the things she finds is beyond all of us. We all know never to challenge her to a game of marbles (she still owes Les a few), horse shoes, crib or bowling - and if you do, because you always do, you know you don’t have a chance at even coming close to her score. But you still try more than once. Just like cancer, she beat it more than once, and this last run she gave it one hell of a run for its money. Judy is preceded in death by her mother Ruth Edwards and her brother Butch Smith. Surviving family include, the love of her life - Gary Zinke and her beautiful daughters - Michelle Leon (Gus) and Mellena Denny (Phil). Father Jack Smith (Judy), and her second mother Truda Crouse (Dave). Brothers, Les Smith (Carol) and Pat Smith (Paula) and her sisters Joel Eighorn (Luke) and Deannda Neufer. Her glitter, the grandkids, Dallin, Cody, Rykley and Kayla and two great grandbabies, Christian and Jackson. She’s “GOOD” now and we all know it. She’s wearing that beautiful smile we have all seen so many times and she will be rooting for the Miami Dolphins every single game with her rock. We love you so much! You’re amazing and you will never be forgotten! Rest, Run, Play, Laugh, Breathe, and Smile A celebration of life will be held at Delmoe Lake on Saturday, July 16th, 2016 between 11am and 4pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made. A trust account has been set up at US Bank in the name of Judy Townsend.
