Alan was my close and good friend for over 60 years. Part of me has died with him, but I am happy to know, without a doubt that he is blessedly in heaven now. My heart goes out to Maxine, Jackie, Emmie, Jake and others who also loved him. I thank God that I got to see him a few years ago in Stevensville. I shall cherish the many and good experiences and memories we shared over the years. May he rest in peace and may God bless his soul and his survivors. Mark S. Patterson, Juneau, AK

I have always looked up to Alan. He's a great man. He is the kind of person who make others want to be their best. He leads by quite example. If you live your life in a way that he would approve of then you are on the right track.
