Helena - Dottie Sheppard Jensen, age 98, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 3, in Helena, Montana, where she and her son Gary have been living since 2011. She was born July 27, 1920, in Gridley, California to Theo Crum Sheppard and Clarissa (Smith) Sheppard, one of eight brothers and sisters. She married Douglas James Jensen on October 1, 1939, in Gridley. Together, they were longtime members of the LDS Church, both in California and Montana, and had three children: Gary Douglas, James Eric, and Judy (Steadman). Dottie is survived by her son Gary, many nieces and nephews, grandchildren (Douglas, Eric, Melinda, Matthew, Amory, Jennifer, Gregg, Heather, and Shannon) and their families in Montana, California, Oregon, and Colorado. She and Doug moved to a beautiful ranch in Stevensville, Montana, in 1962, along with their son Gary and his family. They happily worked on the ranch, haying and raising cattle, in Pine Hollow and on Sunset Bench until Doug’s death in 1983. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Earl, Jack, and Jamie, sisters Marjorie, Mae, and Ruth, husband Douglas of 44 years, her son James Eric, and daughter Judy (Steadman). Private burial services will be held at the Victor Cemetery in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley.

I'm so sorry that you lost your mom..
I loved her so much...she was a good friend of my mom and I loved her visits and great visits with her at the irrigation district office. Hope you are doing well.
