**MEANING OF THE NAME MICHAEL: WHO IS LIKE GOD? **MEANING OF THE NAME GERARD: HARD (BRAVE), BOLD SPEAR, SPEAR STRENGTH Stevensville - Michael Gerard Peeler, 65 of Stevensville passed away Friday, June 12, 2020, and was immediately in the presence of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He lived his life steadfast in his faith in God. Michael was born June 11, 1955, in Havre, Montana, to Clarke and Grace Peeler. He was the youngest of the family, joining three siblings, Theresa, Lance, and Richard. Michael was preceded in death by his Grandparents, his Mother in 1982, his Father in 1995, his Brother Richard in 2012, his Brother Lance in 2017, and all of his Uncles and Aunts. Michael attended school in Havre, Montana, graduating from Havre High School in 1973. He worked various jobs but spent most of his work life in the grocery store business. He retired from Albertson’s in Missoula in 2013 due to health reasons. He married the love of his life, Dawn Wilson, December 21, 1985, in Great Falls, Montana. They were blessed to live a love story that endured for nearly 35 years! They had three children, Samuel (Sarah) Peeler, Grace Peeler, Daniel Peeler, and adding to the blessings with two very special granddaughters, Emily and Linsey. Early married life led them to move to Washington state, then returned to Havre in 1990 to care for his Dad and disabled brother. After his Dad’s passing, they moved to Stevensville in 1996 where they settled into a sometimes-challenging life but still living their love story. Michael was dedicated to his family with integrity always. He was a committed, devoted, hardworking man who was selfless, always living his life for others first. Those left to mourn his passing can take solace in the qualities of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, sister, nieces, nephews and in-laws. “A Note From Your Loving Wife, Children, and Grandchildren” The Lord greatly blessed me when he gave me you for my husband! You were the ABSOLUTE best! I miss you terribly, and will love you forever! Our kids say, “You are forever our hero!” They learned well from your example in their lives, and will dedicate their lives to carrying on your ministry and legacy. They love you dearly. Your granddaughters love and miss you also. We'll make sure they never forget you! Love you always and forever! “A Note From Your Sister” My first glimpse of you was the basket on the dining room table, as a brand-new brother, my last phone visit was your birthday, June 11th. I am so sorry to hear of Mikes passing. I rejoice in the fact that he knew Jesus as his personal savior. Mike was a very patient man and a great listener. I really enjoyed the times we got to be alone and talk about life. He quoted bible scriptures when he felt it applied to our conversation. He was a very loyal husband and father. I have always thought of our times eating homemade salsa. It didn’t matter if we didn’t have chips, he found crackers were just as good because it was about the family made salsa. I have other discussions with him that I will hold close to my heart as I know he knew he could relate to my various life situations. I will miss him and look forward to seeing him in heaven. God bless you Dawn. My heart is heavy and this brings tears of sadness. I love you and your family. Todd
