They spent the next 30 years sharing their friendship, their love and their lives. Greg enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and playing pool. He was a life-long Nebraska Cornhuskers football fan, and for the past 10 years, he and Cozy have been enthusiastic fans of Gonzaga and Creighton basketball. Oh Cozy! I am shocked to see that you lost Greg. I am so glad I got to talk to him at length about a month ago before I moved to Idaho. We talked about lots of things and when I would say your name, he would just light up and smile! I know it will be difficult for you without Greg by your side. Please know that you are in my prayers. Greg is now being held in God's big arms. May good memories of Greg keep you going! He was always so darn nice to me. My deepest sympathy to you, dear Cozy.

I know you must be devastated - it was so fun and special to watch the magic between the two of you over the years. I am sending my hugs and prayers and wishes that the many special memories that you two made will carry you through the sadness and grief, and to a place where peace and acceptance live. Love you! Greg was my first cousin. His mom and my dad were both the children of our grandpa, Leslie Thomas, for whom I was named. The families lost touch decades ago when Aunt Kay was divorced from Uncle Norm. I visited Aunt Kay in Kingman a few years before she passed away, and she caught me up on her children’s lives as best as she could, but I never did have addresses to contact them. I have a couple childhood memories of our families visiting together and picnicking in the summer in Plainview. I am saddened that the small Thomas clan lost another member and want Greg’s family, especially Kam and Joette, to know that they are in my thoughts these days. From what I have read from others’ postings, I missed a lot from not keeping in touch with this side of the family. My sincere condolences.
